Mark is a Principal Founder of Going Global Ventures, New York based private investment and strategic advisory firm. Currently, Mark acts as Sr. Special board advisor to Impact Investing Holding Group and Fund Alphamundi based in Switzerland and Luxembourg and other sustainability renewable energy funds. Mark is also advisor to specialty global private funds in real estate and maritime. Mark acts as a special advisor to Horasis, a new Davos for emerging markets . On a creative side, Mark assists an international board advisor to Adore Creative, Hollywood creative and promotional services agency with a focus on Russia and Emerging markets. Mark also created joint venture representing CEOs and Chairman of largest Chinese private and public enterprises including investment funds and real estate. Mark acts as a special strategic and promotion investment advisor to an EU country of Slovenia.

His background includes 20 years’ experience in strategy and consulting for global technology markets. Mark is currently focuses on Sustainability Analytics,Green IT initiatives, Green investing, Smart Cities, Smart Buildings, Smart Grids, energy management, efficiency and automation issues. Mark is also an influential authority on technology and especially on the role of the CIO/CTO private wealth, social networking, impact investing and innovation. Over the years, Mark’s deep focus is on multi-disciplinary approach on solving complex global with specific interest on innovation and sustainability in US and abroad. He is an author of highly acclaimed books including, Six Billon Minds and The CTO Handbook: The Indispensable Technology Leadership Resource (Thomson Publishing). As an analyst, Mark has written extensively on the impact of globalization on the international business community and authored numerous high profile rating reports on technology, innovation and global outsourcing. Mark was previously a founder, chairman and director of Billion Minds Foundation and Club from 2006 to 2010, a global sustainability and knowledge foundation think tank as well as private wealth club. Mark organized Global Billions Club- Private Wealth Business Club programs in Monaco, Bergen, Zurich, Washington DC, St. Petersburg, Amsterdam, London and New York, and assembled top philanthropists, industrialists, financiers, family holdings, investment groups/institutions and entrepreneurs around the world with combined networth of billions of dollars.

In 2009 and 2010, Mark acted as a Strategic consulting advisor to Research Board (Gartner company, international think tank to Chief Information Officers of the world's largest corporations), At IBM, Mark was a Strategy Executive and CTO, and among Mark’s many accomplishments, he formulated the strategy for Venture Capital, Innovation and Going Global programs. The experience at IBM has given Mark unique opportunities to develop roadmaps for investment, venture capital, incubation, and strategic partnerships provided coaching to over 100 portfolio startups, and to build bridges with venture capital and private equity community. He has guided investments in venture opportunities that serve the strategic, portfolio, and growth ambitions of IBM partners and clients Prior roles included program management, innovation , CIO, and Strategy Officer and technology strategy roles at BTM Corporation, Deutsche Bank, Qwest Communications, Geotek, Comcast, and USWEB/CKS. His entrepreneurial nature has led him to be a founding member in startup companies, for which he played an integral role in raising significant funding.

Mark has advised the U.S. government on innovation as well as bilateral relationships with emerging economies such as Russia and Ukraine. Mark provides annual expert testimony to the committee of National Research Council, National Academy of Science and Dept of Defense intelligence on future scenarios, emerging markets, global risks, outsourcing and innovation Mark co-organized and hosted a foreign policy debate with world leaders and members of Club of Madrid, key leaders of current Obama Administration at Democratic National Convention in Denver, Colorado. Mark received the Albert Einstein Award for outstanding achievement in innovation. Mark holds a BS from Montclair State University and an MBA from Stevens Institute of Technology.
